Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Desvantage ("we," "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use desvantage.com (the "Service"). It should be read with our Terms of Service.
1. What we collect
Account information. Your email address and a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google (never your Google password).
Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe handles your card details directly; we never see or store your full card number. We retain only a Stripe customer identifier and your subscription status.
Usage information. Basic technical data such as browser type and pages viewed, used to operate and improve the Service.
2. How we use it
To provide the Service: your account, your training access, payment processing and subscription management, support, and service communications. We do not sell your personal information.
3. Sharing
We share information only with service providers that run the Service: Stripe (payments), Google (optional sign-in), our database and hosting providers (Supabase, Railway), and the Desmos calculator API, which powers the embedded calculator. We may disclose information if required by law.
4. Cookies
We use a cookie to keep you signed in. Disabling it will prevent login.
5. Data retention and your rights
We keep your information while your account is active. To access, correct, export, or delete your data, email support@desvantage.com. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights (e.g., GDPR/CCPA).
6. Children
The Service is designed for students, including those under 18, who should use it with parental involvement and consent. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent; contact us for deletion.
7. Security
Passwords are hashed, connections are encrypted, and access is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.
8. Changes
We may update this Policy; continued use after an update means you accept it.
